The New World or Social Media
Those of us who have been in the online marketing arena since the beginning of the web have seen an incredibly rapid evolution of the online landscape for businesses. It never stops shifting and changing. Marketing on the web is like trying to hit a moving target… while being spun around blindfolded!
The buzz over these past couple years has been the decline in organic social reach. The early days of Facebook were fantastic as you could reach millions of people for free. Not anymore. Social networks are under pressure to improve profits and have created an environment where the only way to reach people is through paid advertising. And as more businesses move into advertising on these networks, the demand for ad space increases and the high cost makes advertising for the average small business completely impractical.
